Ahead of the arrival of The Matrix Resurrections, the original The Matrix was re-released in 2021 for its fans to enjoy the movie magic again on the big screen. The Wachowskis' cyberpunk classic had sound powered by Dolby, having the bullet-dodging scenes reverberate intensely. Special commentary shows were provided by Keanu Reeves himself, where he was sharing his views about how the trilogy has altered modern science fiction. This marked re-release also solidified its cultural importance in action films.
