Kevin Spacey was finally let go without much fuss from House of Cards amid multiple allegations of sexual misconduct. The axing decision was swift, mainly because both Netflix and the production company needed to distance themselves from the scandal. There was the writing out of the character of Spacey, with Robin Wright's character Claire Underwood taken to become the lead star for the final season.
