Holly Hunter was originally cast as the voice of the main character in Disney's Chicken Little (2005), at a time when the character was still conceived to be female. She spent months recording the lines for the part, only to find halfway through the production that the studio changed its mind to make the character male. Thus, Holly Hunter was dethroned and Zach Braff took her place as the voice of reimagined male Chicken Little. Despite this failure, though, Hunter's success continued to rise, and she finally went on to become known for films like The Incredibles (2004) and The Big Sick (2017).
