Marlon Brando

Marlon Brando was paid $3.7 million plus a percentage of profits from the Superman film for his 10 minutes of screen presence as Jor-El, Superman's father. One of the world's most famous screen icon's presence was necessary to add prestige and public appeal to this film.
His Superman scenes are one of the first instances where a major film star has been paid a handsome amount for a brief appearance in a movie, which set a standard for other blockbuster films later on.
