The casting of the show has been considered as a misfire according to the viewers. David Hasselhoff, known for his lighthearted roles was difficult to be accepted in spymaster comics. The movie deviated significantly from the source material even altering key elements of Nick Fury’s characters which some viewers disliked. Nick Fury: Agent Of S.H.I.E.L.D had little to no cultural impact and was left forgotten.
