Released in 2022, the movie Purple Hearts is about Cassie, a diabetic singer, and Luke, a marine. Both of them are in desperate need of money and thus hatch a plan to get fake married in order to avail military benefits. But after Luke gets severely injured in a deployment in a war zone, both of them are forced to spend a lot of time together and thus end up developing genuine feelings for each other.
