The Oceans franchise has released quite several successful movies. This 2018 sequel, known as Oceans Eight revolves around Debbie Ocean, the sister of Don Ocean. This time she is pulling off a heist with an all-female crew. As they try and steal a $150 million necklace from the Met Gala, we see a representation of female empowerment. This female empowerment is also reflected in the cast of the movie which consisted of the successful and charming – Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Helena Boham Carter, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna and Mindy Kaling.
