Avada Kedavra is an Unforgivable Curse known as the Killing Curse. Death of a victim occurs immediately and instantaneously with no hope left, this is one reason this curse is considered dangerous to apply. It had not known where it all originated, its roots were only traced into dark magic, wherein primarily most Death Eaters were the ones using it. The spell deeply affects Harry Potter's life since it was the curse that killed his parents and left him with a lightning-shaped scar on his forehead.
