Seven Pounds portrays the poignant story of Ben Thomas, who seeks redemption for a tragic accident that resulted in the deaths of seven people. As he quietly enters the lives of seven individuals to improve them as redemption, he forms an unexpected bond with Emily, a woman who needs a heart transplant. There is a plot twist with Ben deciding to donate his organs to many of the people he has saved, including Emily. Thus, his sacrifice, anchored in guilt and love, leaves the viewers questioning more about redemption and what the price of atonement can be.
