Steve Austin entered the action movie arena with The Condemned, a brutal movie about a group of death row inmates who have to fight for survival. His character, Jack Conrad, fit him perfectly for the lead role, as he brought all his physicality and no-nonsense attitude to the screen. What made the movie so different was Austin being able to carry the entire film with so little use of dialogue, using his more intense screen presence and numerous action sequences.
