21 Savage has dropped a new album, titled What Happened to the Streets? on December 12.

The Atlanta rapper teased the album earlier with a black-and-white trailer on Instagram. The cinematic clip generated instant hype among his fans, sparking speculation about the project’s themes and features.

The project features 14 unreleased tracks and explores themes of hustling, violence, revenge, and the emotional toll of success. It features appearances from Latto, Young Nudy, Drake, GloRilla, G Herbo, Metro Boomin, Lil Baby, and Jawan Harris.

Olaolu Slawn, a British-Nigerian artist and designer, created the cover art for the rapper’s latest album. According to XXL magazine, it takes inspiration from Kerry James Marshall’s A Portrait of the Artist as a Shadow of His Former Self.

What Happened to the Streets? is the fourth studio album by 21, following his 2024 album American Dream, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
