Six years and ten days ago from today, the greatest cinematic feat was attained in a movie's conclusion; the movie was Avengers: Endgame. That concluded the Infinity Saga and took Tony Stark away from us, but not Robert Downey Jr. necessarily, as he is coming back as a potential multiversal threat, Victor Von Doom, in Avengers: Doomsday.
While many consider it more of better fan service, it's still Infinity War (2018) that truly stands as a fan favorite. There were things fans didn't like about Endgame. For one, Thanos appeared less impactful there. He wasn't really a Mad Titan in it, as we saw in the preceding film.
Still, the Infinity Saga's conclusion stands as the second-highest-grossing film of all time, though it was on top until James Cameron's Avatar (2009) outdid it after a re-release. It was certainly a good goodbye, but fans had some things they would love to see happen in the film.
There's no better place on the Internet to find genuine conversations about things than Reddit. So, we decided to look at conversations around the film. And we found those things that certainly would've added to the film's strength. Maybe you'll agree with them too, but that's your call. But see them anyway and decide how true they are to you.
5. Fans wanted Doctor Strange to cut Thanos' hand
The Sacred Sword of Vishanti, The Seven Suns of Cinnibus, The Hoary Hosts of Hoggoth, The Crimson Bands of Cyttorak, The Images of Ikkon, and The Mirror Dimension. It was a good show of his sorcery skills by the Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). However, there was something fans had to question. Why didn't he simply cut Thanos's (Josh Brolin) hand using a portal?
Although that applies to both Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War, doing that in the latter would've just ended the game, and we wouldn't have an Endgame. The fan didn't mention in which film he wanted that, but the user is all about the scene. So, let's just assume that MrCoolGuy12356 would've approved it happening in the 2019 movie.
4. Defenders and The Punisher in Endgame
The Defenders are likely to become part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe too. We got some Easter eggs of them in Daredevil: Born Again, and the Punisher himself showed up there.
Some fans wanted The Defenders and The Punisher in the film, but now that it can't happen, let's just hope they'll get to see them popping up in Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars.
3. A proper Hulk
Professor Hulk (Bruce Banner) is cool, but that smashing green guy who can beat his enemies to a pulp is what the Marvel fans usually dig for. And they dig for this version in Avengers: Endgame, too.
One Redditor, dubbed Huge-Inspection-788, thought it would've been better if the Russos had given us that monstrous being rather than the one we saw in Avengers: Endgame.
2. Nick Fury joining the final battle in Avengers: Endgame in a Helicarrier
Now that would have been refreshing if Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) showed up in a Helicarrier like he did in Avengers: Age of Ultron. At least Mr. BitFiesty would've loved seeing that happening in there. That would certainly have Captain Rogers (Chris Evans) excited and not care for the 'language.'
But let us bring the fact into the equation that he wouldn't be hovering over a levitating city where there's not really a threat. It would've been an easy target for Sanctuary II.
1. The Hulk in an Ant-Man suit
And lastly, this user called BicycleOfLife had a wild imagination for Hulk. The user wanted the Hulk in an Ant-Man suit. We can imagine the wrath this version of him would've wreaked on Thanos' army in Avengers: Endgame.
That was the least Paul Rudd's Scott Lang would've done after Professor Hulk showed him some kindness by giving him a taco after Nebula was rude to him. And that wouldn't have needed him to carry Hulk and Rocket (Bradley Cooper) in his hand.
