Slasher movies tend to make almost every character a victim until the perpetrator is revealed. Whether it's Michael Myers or Jigsaw, adding victims to their list is how their respective slasher movies begin.
However, while some characters may appear strong and even look like they might survive, some, from their first screen appearance, give off the vibe that they will be the killer's victim. Here’s a list of 7 such characters from slasher movies that had their fate set from their first appearance, that they were going to die.

7 Characters from slasher movies we knew are goners from their first appearance
7) Tina Gray (A Nightmare on Elm Street)

Nightmares or anything related to horror are, most of the time, a sign of impending doom for the characters in slasher movies. In the 1984 film A Nightmare on Elm Street, Tina Gray is the first person seen on screen, waking up after a terrifying nightmare where she is attacked by a bladed-gloved man in a boiler room.
After waking up, she finds slashes on her nightgown. These omens set her character up for her death, as she has a nightmare again where the same disfigured man chases her in the dream. Her boyfriend, Rod Lane, then encounters her death, as her sleeping body is dragged and brutally slashed, killing her instantly.
6) Casey Becker (Scream)

Casey Baker’s death was also inevitable since she appeared on screen in the 1996 film. She is home alone when an unknown number calls her, and she begins discussing horror films with the unknown caller (another sign of the looming disaster).
The caller gradually becomes callous and reveals that he has tied up her boyfriend on her patio, and begins asking questions about horror films. After Casey gives an incorrect answer, Ghostface kills her boyfriend, and while she tries to escape, he stabs her to death. Her body is later found by her parents, tied up to a tree.
5) Barry and Claudette (Friday the 13th)

One of the most common victim tropes of slasher movies is the characters who sneak into the woods at night. The same happens to the two counsellors, Barry and Claudette, who sneak into the woods inside a cabin and meet their own deaths.
It is later revealed that they were not random victims, and they were going to die due to Mrs. Voorhees’s revenge plot, as she blamed the two for her son’s death. In 1957, they were supposed to look over Jason Voorhees’s son, but left him alone, and he later went to try his swimming skills and drowned in the lake. A year later, she killed them both by stabbing Barry in his stomach and slitting Clausdette's throat.
4) Lizzie (Thanksgiving)

Most slasher movies set the tone of the film at the beginning. Therefore, the riot that took place in Thanksgiving’s opening scene was a foreboding sign of the tragedy that would take place in the film.
In the riot of RightMart Superstore’s Black Friday sale, Amanda Collins, the manager of the store, is accidentally killed by a rioter, who happens to be Lizzie. Later, Lizzie becomes the first victim of the serial killer in their town, pointing to her involvement in the riot during the Black Friday sale. Lizzie becoming one of the reasons for Amanda and her unborn child’s death at the beginning was what made him the first victim of the serial killer.
Moreover, her death was a horrific one, where the John Carver killer drowned her head in the sink, then whacked her face in a freezer, pulling her skin out. She tries to escape by hiding in a dumpster, which becomes the reason for her death as the killer rams his vehicle into the dumpster, which instantly closes, slashing Lizzie's body in half.
3) Joey Crusel (A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master)

The A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise introduced one of the terrifying killers in slasher movies, Freddy Krueger. While Freddy had numerous victims throughout the franchise, Joey Crusel (Rodney Eastman) is one of those victims, whom he successfully lured to kill in the previous film, but was saved by Nancy and friends.
However, Joey is still ignorant of Freddy’s menacing nature, and he once again successfully lures Joey with a dream about a playboy model in his waterbed. He then pulls him into the waterbed and slashes him before drowning him in his own waterbed, which results in his death. He is then discovered by his mother.
2) Corey Cunningham (Halloween Ends)

With Halloween Ends, one of the most successful franchises of slasher movies came to an end with Michael Myers and Laurie Strode’s story’s conclusion. In this film, Corey (Rohan Campbell) becomes a victim of Myers but is spared initially.
However, with all the tragedies going on in his life, he dons the serial killer persona of Michael Myers, wearing the same mask, and going on a killing spree. As Laurie senses Corey's madness, she wants him to stay away from Allyson, but the latter doesn't want to give up on her and tries to frame Laurie for his death by stabbing himself in front of her.
His plans fail when Myers finally comes back to finish his job and kills Corey by snapping his neck. Other than Laurie, no one has ever survived Myers; hence, we know that since Michael attacked Corey, he would not survive the movie.
1) Agent Strahm (Saw V)

Agent Strahm’s confidence and fearless nature might be why we knew something bad would happen to him from the beginning. Even after surviving two attempts on his life with his quick thinking, Strahm openly gave away his suspicion of Hoffman.
That’s one of the reasons, other than his not hearing the tape, which is the most important thing in the Saw slasher movies, as with these tapes, Jigsaw’s victims are informed about how to survive. Strahm completely ignores this information and proceeds to trap Hoffman inside the box with glass shards.
However, if he had listened to the tape, he would've known that the box was to save him while the room where he is trapped will become the reason for his death as the walls begin to close in on him, resulting in his death as his body is crushed in the process.
