Netflix film Wall to Wall, starring Squid Game star Kang Ha-neul, seems to be receiving a mixed response from the viewers.

Its synopsis, as per IMDb, goes as follows:
"Woo-seong, a man who finally saves up enough to buy an apartment, only to have it turn into a nightmare with financial ruin and mysterious noises from neighboring floors."

It seems like Redditors are not happy with how the Netflix thriller Wall to Wall ends
Wall to Wall serves as a social commentary and a critique of the capitalistic society that we live in. Its plot looks into the struggles that a man named Woo-seong undergoes while living in his apartment. During his stay in the new flat, he hears some bizarre noises that he cannot make sense of.
As the noises increase, Woo-seong feels tormented and unsafe in his own house. He wonders if this is some paranormal activity or if his neighbors are trying to disturb him. However, towards the end, it is revealed that this whole scenario has been staged by a spiteful journalist and Woo-seong's neighbour, Jin-ho.
His motive to torment Woo-seong was to get him busted in a false case of corruption in the real estate market. Jin-ho's main prey is Eun-hwa, a local representative who is stashing some fraud. Unfortunately, Woo-seong becomes the pawn of this notorious game.
Towards the end of Wall to Wall, as Jin-ho murders Eun-hwa, Woo-seong exposes Jin-ho and extinguishes the house. Later, Woo-seong returns to his renovated flat. But the dark shadows of his past trauma in the residence caused by Jin-ho do not leave him. Even though there is no Jin-ho in the picture anymore, Woo-seong still gets to hear the same noises in the building.
It implies that now Woo-seong is disassociating from reality and is still living in his past trauma. The noises that he hears are the voices in his head that are trapped and still torment him. Upon 'hearing' those noises, Woo-seong simply laughs.
u/jngsngslvr on Reddit shared a post on the r/Koreanfilm subreddit requesting thoughts on the film.
While many Redditors appreciated the film, a lot of them were not content with its ending. A user named u/madmaxxie36 wrote:
"The first half was a promising idea, but the reveal of what was actually going on through to the ending was bad IMO."
On a similar note, another Redditor named u/Elegant_Peanut_ was also critical about the ending of the film, as they wrote:
"It was great until the end.... its like they got lazy toward the end or ran out of money and was just like yea whatever the hell."
Another user named u/ALiexxxra mentioned that the film, even though it had a good start, got lengthy, which made them feel a sense of boredom, as they wrote:
"Interesting at first but it was too long and drawn out by the end I was soo bored the last 40 min felt like torture ."
u/sourcingislife pointed out that the film might not be easily comprehensible for those who are not aware of the issues related to housing in Korea. Similar to the other Redditors, they also applauded how the film began, but said that the grip of the narrative loses at the ending of the film.
Appreciating the performance of Kang Ha-neul as Woo-seong in the film, the user wrote:
"Great acting from KHN 🖤 Some parts can be confusing, especially if you're not familiar with the housing situation in Korea. Overall, I enjoyed the film especially the beginning, but I didn't like how the story progressed and ended."
Going by the several reviews on Wall to Wall, it seems that even though the film has promise, topped with a sincere performance by the actors, the narrative falters in the end. The film, upon its release, received a lukewarm rating of 6.1/10 on IMDb.
