Actress, model, and television personality Denise Richards has gone viral after her estranged mother-in-law, Patricia Phypers, launched a GoFundMe urging people to help her family from homelessness.

According to the Daily Mail, Richards’ estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, his brother, and his elderly parents were evicted from the Los Angeles residence, which he once shared with the Starship Troopers actress and co-signed a lease in 2020.

Last week, the Los Angeles Superior Court ruled in favor of their landlord, John Karan, and granted him repossession of the $3.3 million mansion in Calabasas, California, after the family failed to pay their rent since February 2025.

Not only that, but the former couple was given a three-day notice at the end of August to pay the due rent of $12,000/ month or vacate the premises, as per the terms of their lease, which was also ignored.

Now, Aaron Phypers is looking at $84,000 in back rent; however, the ruling on that is still pending.

In the wake of this, Aaron’s brother, Brett Phypers, launched a GoFundMe on behalf of their mother, titled “Please Help My Son Aaron — A Grandmother’s Cry for Justice and for the Little Girl Torn From Our Lives,” with a goal of $110,000. It has so far raised $1,308 from seven donations, which accounts for only two percent of the goal.

It is noteworthy that Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers were married for nearly seven years before he filed for divorce in July 2025, citing “irreconcilable differences.” They have an adopted special needs daughter named Eloise, 14.

The fundraiser launched on December 5, 2025, claimed that Aaron Phyper’s name and reputation were falsely tarnished and demanded justice for him and his nearly homeless condition. Patricia wrote in the description:

“I am a mother and a grandmother begging the public for help. My son, Aaron Phypers, has been destroyed by false allegations, Hollywood power, and a system determined to silence him. But the deepest wound is the loss of his daughter, my granddaughter, Eloise. She was our light. She adored her daddy. And overnight, she was taken from him… and from us… without truth, without justice, without mercy.”

Ms Phypers continued:

“When my daughter-in-law needed help, I was brought in to hold a collapsing home together — 36 dogs, 5 cats, endless responsibilities, all hidden from the landlord. I spent my small pension on vet bills, food, and care because no one else would. My son Brett and I were put in impossible, unlawful situations to cover for fraud we never created.”

Patricia claimed that while Denise Richards, 54, frequently “travelled,” she cared for Eloise and gave her the love, protection, and stability she deserved. Not only that, but she also catered to Richards’ older daughters’ cats.

However, despite all her efforts and financial help for so long, Aaron Phypers was “cut off, slandered, starved, wrongfully arrested, and left with nothing.”

According to his mother, Aaron was once “the man who carried this entire household,” but no longer had the “ability to fight back.” He is now without any stable income, home, or access to his “daughter who needs him.”

Daily Mail reports suggest that Denise Richards’ estranged husband once owned a wellness agency called Quantum 360 Club. However, it closed its doors a year ago. Ever since, he has been unemployed and also had no access to government aid as the Phypers are Canadian citizens.

“We are facing eviction. Our utilities are being shut off. My pension is gone. We are out of options. Please — if you have ever loved a child or grandchild — help my son fight for the truth and for Eloise. Your support may be the only thing that saves him,” a heartbroken Patricia wrote.

The GoFundMe description ended with a shoutout to everyone who would read, donate, and amplify their cause.

Denise Richards has not addressed the matter yet. However, their divorce proceedings are ongoing. In fact, in September, the James Bond actress requested spousal support from the court. A month before that, Richards’ lawyers issued a court order asking the Phypers family to vacate the property.

Around the same time, the Phypers family gave a tour of their rented home and blamed Richards for its bad condition. However, she denied the accusation and claimed she hadn’t lived on the property for over two years.

That month, Denise Richards also moved out her belongings from the property and her 15 dogs and claimed her ex-in-laws “severely damaged the [property] and left the house in a state of disarray.”

Meanwhile, Aaron Phypers, 53, had earlier claimed he holds the copyright to Denise Richards’ OnlyFans account, which earns him over $250,000 per month. It remains unclear whether he still has access to the same.

However, he is clearly in a financial crisis and potentially homeless now that he has been evicted. Aaron reportedly plans to address this at the next hearing on January 7. Notably, his past requests for emergency hearings about his money problems were never granted.

According to an insider’s statement to the Daily Mail, the Phypers plan to argue that Denise Richards owes them thousands of dollars, which they spent on caring for her dogs. However, he no longer has a lawyer as he reportedly can’t access the fees.

“Aaron Phypers' 83-year-old parents will be put on the streets. [Aaron] is broke. He has no money. He hasn't had a dime… The motorcycle that he has, he can't even sell it because [Richards] has the title on it. He has no transportation. The truck - they're trying to repossess it. He has nothing left - he has nothing!” the source added.

While Aaron has been unable to find a new job due to a lack of proper documentation, he is most upset about not having access to his daughter. Last month, Phypers also told PEOPLE that he signed adoption papers for Eloise. However, Denise Richards reportedly never filed them.

Amid the ongoing drama, the Wild Things actress has filed a request with the judge not to pay her estranged husband. Additionally, she has a five-year restraining order against Aaron Phypers after he was accused of domestic violence, which he continues to deny. That case is currently ongoing.

It is noteworthy that Phypers was previously married to British-American actress Nicollette Sheridan, whom he divorced in December 2017. Around the same time, he began dating Denise Richards and later tied the knot in September 2018.

The model-actress announced that Aaron adopted Eloise in May 2019. Before that, she was a single parent to the girl after adopting her in June 2011.

Later, on July 7, their divorce was announced/ filed, and July 4 was given as the date of separation. He later claimed Denise cheated on him in early 2025.

Denise Richards also shares two daughters, Sami, 20, and Lola, 19, with her first husband and actor Charlie Sheen. They were married for four years until 2006.
