Emily Blunt hinted once in an interview with the Collider that A Quiet Place Part II is a part of trilogy so there's quite a chance that A Quiet Place 3 is there. Actually it is called A Quiet Place: Day One, but then it is a spin-off so that won't count. Then John Krasinski said we will get a new Quiet Place film in 2025.
Are we getting A Quiet Place 3? By the looks of it, we are. Are we getting it soon? No, we won't be getting it soon. But we are likely to get it this year only. If 9-10 months count as soon, consider it soon then. Let's hope it doesn't succumb to delays.
However, there is no release data and John Krasinski has quite a busy schedule, as we talked in a similar story. That said, the release date might be pushed to 2026, or even 2027.
Brad Fuller also confirmed the development of A Quiet Place 3
Brad Fuller, who has produced all the films in the post-apocalyptic horror franchise, was at South by Southwest (SXSW) for his latest film, The Astronaut. The Direct had a chat with him and this is what he said for the next Quiet Place film.
"He's making a movie now, so as soon as he finishes that, hopefully, he will turn his attention to ['A Quiet Place 3']. We all want to finish that trilogy, and I'm hopeful there's even more 'Quiet Place' movies beyond that."
We have already mentioned Emily Blunt's statement with the Collider so that's undoubtedly the final chapter in the main storyline. But we can see the franchise could have a larger scope and we might get to see more spin-offs in the future.
All three films were commercial successes, with the first movie being the highest grossing among them, raking in $341 million against a $17 million budget. That was followed by Part II and Day One with $297 million and $261 million, respectively.
What is A Quiet Place about?
The plot of the franchise revolves around an alien invasion on earth where these blind creatures called Death Angels have plagued the planet. Though they cannot see, they sure have a heightened sense of hearing.
John Krasinski had a major role as Lee Abbott in the first film, where he and his family, where the members include his wife Evelyn Abbott (Blunt); Marcus Abbott (Noah Jupe); and Regan Abbott (Millicent Simmonds), are surviving a post-invasion world. Beau, the smallest child of Lee and Evelyn, is killed by a Death Angel in the film.
The Jack Ryan actor returns in the second film but that's just a part of a flashback given he don't survive in the first movie. Blunt is then joined by a couple of A-listers, including Djimon Hounsou and Cillian Murphy. The film leaves us with a bunch of people on the island that was supposed to be safe from Death Angels.
One of the creatures eventually ends up there on the island but is killed. That could've been the end of it but we must not forget there's a whole bunch of them still roaming the planet. It's not the end until they vanish.
While this is the main storyline, A Quiet Place: Day One serves as a prequel, and we got to know the origin of the invasion through it.
