A Hulk-like character is coming to the MCU soon with a TV show called Wonder Man. He doesn't turn into a raging green monster. No, that's not what he shares with Bruce Banner. It's his powers that he tries to suppress. However, Banner has found a way to live a normal life as Professor Hulk now.
Now that the show is releasing just before Avengers: Doomsday, you might wonder if the show will end up connecting to the film. Of course, it is already connected to the grand Marvel Cinematic Universe, which opens up a range of gates for the character to appear in a future film.
For now, no gate for him happens to be open on the Doomsday stage. Only a few rumors are there, one coming from The Cosmic Circus' Alex Perez, who said in one Q&A that,
"He’s apparently scheduled to show up in the next Avengers’ films, so it’ll be interesting to see where his story goes there."
Take that with a grain of salt, please.
Wonder Man is currently scheduled to stream on Disney+, beginning January 27, 2026. All the episodes of the show will drop on the same day.
Any chance that Wonder Man will appear in Avengers: Doomsday?
Since the day the MCU transitioned from the Infinity Saga to the Multiverse Saga, every single thing you can imagine can happen. Though, Wonder Man won't need the multiverse to appear in Avengers: Doomsday because he is likely to be part of the prime Earth, that is, 616. But then again, if needed, the MCU can send him through the multiverse for some help.
Currently, the show is connected with two films and a TV show, i.e., Iron Man 3, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, respectively. Ben Kingsley, who played Trevor Slattery in the films, will appear in Wonder Man, and the story is set up on the West Coast, where the Tatiana Maslany show is set.
The show recently dropped its trailer, but it appears to be a mostly self-contained story focused on Kingsley and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II's titular character. As of this writing, the trailer has amassed 6.4 million views on YouTube.
Who is confirmed to appear in Avengers: Doomsday?
Marvel Entertainment, in March 2025, announced the film's cast in an hours-long announcement. It ended with Robert Downey Jr., who was already announced to appear as Victor Von Doom, the main focus of the upcoming Avengers film. Before that, RDJ appeared as Tony Stark in the MCU.
Other than him, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Channing Tatum, Patrick Stewart, Joseph Quinn, Lewis Pullman, Kelsey Grammer, Sebastian Stan, Florence Pugh, and more will reprise their roles from Marvel films.
Some names that weren't part of this Avengers: Doomsday announcement are also rumored to be part of the project. One of them is Chris Evans' Steve Rogers, who was confirmed to be appearing in the film as the latest teaser of the film dropped.
