Marvel fans are closing in on the first look at Avengers: Doomsday, set for a December 18, 2026, release, which marks one of the biggest titles from Marvel franchise’s Phase 6 slate. The film is set to bring together a massive cast that spans the main MCU, the Fantastic Four, and even legacy X-Men actors.

The international listing confirms that the first Avengers: Doomsday teaser is 1 minute and 25 seconds long. This detail is key to the fans. The detail appeared on the Korean rating board’s website and was spotted by fan accounts soon after.

One of the biggest gifts in 2025 was a revelation: Robert Downey Jr., who played iconic Tony Stark in the earlier MCU movies, will be portraying Doctor Doom.

The new subtitle for Doomsday was announced a year ago. At Pinewood Studios in England, the shooting had already started. The filming happened across key locations in England and Bahrain.

The short teaser duration matches audience expectations, giving a short, early glimpse rather than a full trailer. The movie is still a year away, so it is understandable why Marvel wanted the teaser to be controlled.

A short teaser does what it's meant to do: Tease the story just enough to create excitement. Regarding the teaser, there was a slot of talks earlier that suggested it would contain older Avengers clips, ending with a brief shot of Doctor Doom. That could still be the case and can only be confirmed upon the teaser's release. The runtime of the teaser is around 85 seconds, which is longer than a few recent Disney teasers.

The extra seconds create hope that Marvel will slip in a few new shots to build excitement. Fans are especially waiting to see Robert Downey Jr.’s take on Doctor Doom, which will likely be the anchor of the film.

Fans are also wondering when they will get to see this teaser. Some reports claim that the teaser may play in theaters before Avatar: Fire and Ash, set next weekend. Whether the teaser comes out online before the theatrical release is still unclear. After Avengers: Infinity War, we got some interesting titles from Marvel Studios leading up to Avengers: Doomsday.

In 2019, Avengers: Endgame concluded the Infinity Saga and dealt with the fallout from Thanos’ snap. Again that year, Marvel released Spider-Man: Far From Home, which explored Peter Parker navigating a post-war world.

Some fans are buzzing that Marvel and DC are holding trailers for the same week. With Supergirl expected to air its first look soon, neither studio would want to drop both teasers on the same day. However short, the teaser for Avengers: Doomsday still flares up excitement among fans.
