Avengers: Secret Wars, which is supposed to be a soft reboot of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), has a new rumor about a character fans have been asking to include in the roster: Charlie Cox's Daredevil. He made his official MCU outing with Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021, and fans have been losing it over it since.
The recent rumor we are discussing here comes from an industry scooper, Daniel Richtman, who recently posted on his X (formerly Twitter) subscription channel that the character is likely to join the Secret Wars' roster. Though there is no official confirmation of that.
We cannot deny the inclusion of any Marvel character since Disney acquired 21st Century Fox and the MCU creators opened the multiverse. People cannot even die now, which also means that fans can hope for their favorite characters, like Iron Man, who sacrificed himself in 2019's Avengers: Endgame, to return.
Who is set to appear in Avengers: Secret Wars?
Currently, if we go by the IMDb listing, only a few names have been included in the upcoming film's roster. Among the names that are most likely to appear in the movie are Joseph Quinn, Vanessa Kirby, Pedro Pascal, Robert Downey Jr., and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. That is basically the entire team from The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025), plus Victor Von Doom, who appeared during the post-credits scene of the movie, but his face wasn't revealed.
All we know is that RDJ is playing Doom in the upcoming films. Other names that are rumored to be a part of Avengers: Secret Wars' roster include Anthony Mackie, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Iman Vellani, and Dominique Thorne. Only Mackie, who recently took the mantle of Captain America in Brave New World, is confirmed to be appearing in Doomsday.
Avengers: Doomsday cast is confirmed
While we don't have any confirmation about the cast of Avengers: Secret Wars, its prequel, Avengers: Doomsday, which is set for a release on December 18, 2026, has confirmed who is to appear in the movie. At least that's half the cast, or so it is said.
Among the ones appearing in the movie are Chris Hemsworth, Sebastian Stan, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, James Marsden, and more. These names were a part of an hours-long announcement that Marvel Studios revealed a few months back. Additionally, Jeremy Renner, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chris Evans, and more are said to appear in the movie.
Plot details of either Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars are still under wraps. Though that hasn't stopped fans from bringing out their imagination and providing theories about the story.
But, likely, we will soon get to see a glimpse of what awaits in the next big thing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as the teaser of the film is said to be released with Avatar: Fire and Ash's screening. So, it will be in the theaters first, if true, and then on YouTube.
