Final Destination Bloodlines is the recent entry in the franchise after several years. The series does not have many connecting dots except the 180 number (which was the flight number in the first film), which keeps appearing in other films often. Because the actors die in each franchise, they don't reappear in more installments. There have been two exceptions, though: Ali Larter and the late Tony Todd, who have acted in more than one film.

Bloodlines has Iris, who possesses a scrapbook of death, which is basically a guide for people to avoid death. It also describes the Flight 180 crash and the death mentioned in the first five installments of the franchise. This book reveals that death followed the bloodlines of people who had escaped it initially.

However, the thing that connects it to the franchise is William Bludworth (Tony Todd's last role). He is also connected to the incident at Skyview, and Stefani finds out about him through her grandmother's scrapbook of death. She eventually finds out that Iris had saved a young William at the Skyview incident where his mother was performing. He has survived longer than others and hence is aware of the pattern of death. With this revelation, the film has managed to tie the entire franchise together.

Final Destination Bloodlines is produced by Craig Perry, Jon Watts, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, Dianne McGunigle, and Toby Emmerich. The screenplay is by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor, while the story is by Watts, Busick, and Taylor.

The cast members of the film are,

  • Kaitlyn Santa Juana as Stefani Reyes
  • Teo Briones as Charlie Reyes
  • Richard Harmon as Erik Campbell
  • Owen Patrick Joyner as Bobby Campbell
  • Rya Kihlstedt as Darlene Campbell
  • Anna Lore as Julia Campbell
  • Gabrielle Rose as Iris Campbell
  • Tony Todd as William Bludworth

In a Collider interview, one of the film's producers, Craig Perry, revealed that the franchise has the potential to go on forever.

“I think the magic of Final Destination is that it's about the idea. The idea of whether or not fate/destiny plays into your life is something that not just everybody has a personal relationship with; every culture, every country, everybody all over the world has some relationship with that. So, I think Final Destination as a brand, as a piece of IP, and as a conceit will go on forever, whether I'm here or not.”
