Bella Ramsey could be the next big name to join the MCU

Bella Ramsey is a British actor who was recently seen in HBO's horror action television series The Last of Us. They are also known for their performance as Lyanna Mormont on another HBO series, Game of Thrones. Besides these, Ramsey has also done several films like Holmes & Watson and Catherine Called Birdy.

Recently, there has been a rumor that Bella Ramsey might appear in the upcoming project of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). If this turns out to be true, Ramsey will be following the same route as their co-star Pedro Pascal, who has appeared in the MCU as Mister Fantastic. For now, Marvel hasn't officially confirmed this yet.

Leo Rydel has posted on his X handle (formerly Twitter) that there is a rumor that Bella Ramsey might be eyeing an important role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This comes amid their co-stars (Pedro Pascal and Isabela Merced) making their MCU debut with the upcoming film The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Earlier, people on the internet had championed the actor to portray Rogue in the superhero universe.

Fans will have to wait for some time before we get to see any official confirmation from the makers.

Meanwhile, Bella Ramsey recently appeared in the second season of The Last of Us. They spoke to Deadline about the character's fate and how they are coping with the death of people around them:

“All of these people are dying around her, and now her loved ones, because of her monomaniacal need to kill Abby. I think she’s starting to just realize how her actions are affecting her entire life.”

They further spoke about Jesse's death:

"That grief is so immediate and there’s almost no time for her to process it, but obviously they’ve just had that conversation before where they’ve reached sort of a mutual understanding, because Ellie has always been aware of Jesse not agreeing with her for a lot of the things that she’s done."

Ramsey added:

"I think there’s that instant shock, but I think once she starts to process that issue — she’s not very much from a processor, to be fair — but I think she really feels like she’s the reason for all of this. All of these people are dying around her, and now her loved ones, because of her monomaniacal need to kill Abby. I think she’s starting to just realize how her actions are affecting her entire life."

Meanwhile, Pedro Pascal is unlikely to appear in future seasons of The Last of Us because the character has been killed. The show will have another season, and Craig Mazin has hinted that there is a possibility of a fourth season as well. Amid all of this, the rumor of Ramsey making an MCU debut is doing the rounds. Given all the film lineups like Avengers: Doomsday, Secret Wars, and other titles, there is a plethora of options and characters that Ramsey can fit in. Over the years, several actors, often relatively unknown, have joined the MCU.
