More about Bohemian Rhapsody
Bohemian Rhapsody is produced by Graham King and Jim Beach under the banners of Regency Enterprises, GK Films, and Queen Films. It's shot by Newton Thomas Sigel, with John Ottman as editor. In a BBC interview, Rami Malek spoke about portraying Freddie Mercury. He said,
"There's just something quite unsettled about him. He has such a compassionate side, and he longs for the sense of community and love and companionship but there's a sense of distance there, somehow."
He added,
"I kept searching for ways into the man and then I realised, he left us a diary and it's in all of the songs."
Malek said the idea was to show the human being behind the Mercury icon.
