War fans, you have got one of the finest films in your genre streaming right now on Netflix. Inglourious Basterds, Quentin Tarantino's seventh film, is considered by many to be his best work. However, this is a debate we can have about all his films. But, Pulp Fiction (1994) is mainly considered his magnum opus.
The satirical war film was released in 2009 with an ensemble cast including Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz, Michael Fassbender, and more. Interestingly, Waltz received his first Oscar for his role as Hans Landa, for which Tarantino believed that he had "written a part that was un-playable."
Waltz's second Oscar came with another Tarantino film, Django Unchained (2012). With this, the world got to see Christoph Waltz's range as he played an ultra-racist in Inglourious Basterds and an anti-racist in the 2012 film.
The film's synopsis, as per Rotten Tomatoes, reads:
"It is the first year of Germany's occupation of France. Allied officer Lt. Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) assembles a team of Jewish soldiers to commit violent acts of retribution against the Nazis, including the taking of their scalps. He and his men join forces with Bridget von Hammersmark, a German actress and undercover agent, to bring down the leaders of the Third Reich. Their fates converge with theater owner Shosanna Dreyfus, who seeks to avenge the Nazis' execution of her family."
As of this writing, Inglourious Basterds sits with an impressive 89% score at Rotten Tomatoes. It was a commercial success too, as it made over $321 million against a $70 million budget at the global box office.
Where does Inglourious Basterds stand amid all the Quentin Tarantino movies?

As of this writing, Quentin Tarantino has directed nine films, including the two-part Kill Bill, which technically makes the total tally ten.
His best film, according to Rotten Tomatoes, is Pulp Fiction, which holds the highest score there, 92%. Following it is Tarantino's debut film, Reservoir Dogs (1992), which is 90% fresh there. These are the only two movies with a 90 or above score at RT.
Inglourious Basterds stands as Tarantino's third film at RT with the aforementioned 89% score. After that, it is Jackie Brown (1997) with an 88% score. Pam Grier and Robert Forster got their first lead role in a major film after many years with this one. Additionally, Jackie Brown is the only Tarantino film based on another person's work.
Django Unchained follows after Jackie Brown with an 87% score. Quentin Tarantino wanted to make a sequel to the film with Antonio Banderas, which was going to be a crossover with his character Zorro. However, it never really took off.
On sixth is Tarantino's latest flick, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019), which is getting a sequel and could mark the director's final film. However, David Fincher is directing that, and we still don't know what the final film on the Tarantino shelf will be. It is followed by the two Kill Bill sequels, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, with 85% and 84% scores, respectively. With them, ends the 80 and above score films by the director.
The final films in this list include The Hateful Eight (2015) with a 74% RT score and Death Proof with a 67% score.
