The Four Horsemen return for Now You See Me 3, and the newly released trailer reveals more details about their fractured dynamic and an intergenerational divide with the new members of their team.
Its official logline reads:
"The Four Horsemen return along with a new generation of illusionists performing mind-melding twists, turns, surprises, and magic unlike anything ever captured on film."
The Now You See Me 3 cast includes Jesse Eisenberg, who returns as J. Daniel "Danny" Atlas, alongside Woody Harrelson as Merritt McKinney, and Dave Franco as Jack Wilder. They will be joined by Henley Reeves (Isla Fisher), who returns to the franchise after her absence in the 2016 sequel, where Lula May (Lizzy Caplan) became the fourth part of the team.
French filmmaker Louis Leterrier directed the first film of this heist franchise, and Jon M. Chu took over the reins for the sequel. However, this time, Ruben Fleischer takes over the directorial role. The director has already worked with Eisenberg in Zombieland (2009), its 2019 sequel, and the 2011 comedy film, 30 Minutes or Less.
Now You See Me 3 brings two generations of magicians together for their biggest heist
The first trailer for Now You See Me 3 (Now You See Me: Now You Don't) showed Atlas meeting three young magicians, Charlie (Justice Smith from I Saw the TV Glow), June (Ariana Greenblatt from Barbie, and Bosco (Dominic Sessa from The Holdovers), for a heist to steal the "queen diamond" from Veronica Vanderberg (Rosamund Pike from Gone Girl), who oversees a crime syndicate.
Atlas doesn't come with the rest of the Horsemen. When asked where they are, he plainly says that they're dead. Then, he corrects himself:
"They're dead to me."
Eventually, Henley, Merritt, and Jack did return to join him in this adventure. It offered a hint of how dangerous and far-reaching Vanderberg's empire is, and the new trailer shows more details about her and her operation, which sets up the stage for probably the most compelling antagonists in the show. At a point, Jack says,
"She doesn't just launder money, she kills people."
Jack tries to warn Atlas and others about the troubles they might face if they decide to mess with her operations. It doesn't seem to concern Atlas, since the Horsemen and their new teammates continue with their heist. However, it's not all about the dark and mysterious world of this crime lord. The new trailer also makes Now You See Me 3 seem quite fun.

The old heads are still taking jabs at the younger generation, whether it has to do with their lack of articulation or with their names or aliases. It sure looks like another entertaining ride for the fans.
Fans would also love to know that Now You See Me 3 will receive a follow-up project, as per TheWrap, with Fleischer set to return as the director. Speaking about Fleischer's work, Adam Fogelson from Lionsgate told the publication,
“Ruben Fleischer is an absolute artist. He knows how to look at every moment and every scene as an opportunity to thrill and delight an audience. He came to us with a plan that grows and expands the size and scale of the world while simultaneously allowing us to make the movie for a really great, responsible budget.”
Now You See Me 3 will be in theaters on November 14, 2025.
