The latest trailer for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery finds Josh O'Connor in the middle of an impossible crime
Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is less than a month away from its official Netflix release. However, it will be receiving a special theatrical release in select cinemas.
The latest trailer finds Josh O'Connor's Jud Duplenticy as the prime suspect in the murder of Monsignor Jefferson Wicks, played by Josh Brolin. All the signs point to him being the culprit. As Mila Kunis' Police Chief Geraldine Scott lists in the trailer:
"You were the only one on stage with the Monsignor at the time of his killing. You were the only one at that church who hated his guts. So, tell me, what the hell happened?"
Everybody is convinced that Jud is the one responsible for the Monsignor's death. But he is adamant about his innocence. Comes in Daniel Craig's Benoit Blanc, who deems the crime a "perfectly impossible crime", but he is also "incapable of not solving a crime", so the audience is in for a ride, to say the least.

Even though the case appears to be a straight shot at first, Blanc discovers that it isn't as simple, and this innocent-looking flock of the church has secrets of their own that they are hiding.
The devoted flock of the Monsignor is made up of Glenn Close's Martha Delacroix, Jeremy Renner's Dr. Nat Sharp, Thomas Haden Church's groundskeeper, Samson Holt, Kerry Washington's Vera Draven, Daryl McCormack's Cy Draven, Andrew Scott's Lee Ross, and Cailee Spaeny's concert cellist Simone Vivane.
Blanc announces in the trailer:
"It is time to discover what this flock of wicked wolves is hiding."
The third installment of the Knives Out mystery, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery's official synopsis reads:
"After a sudden and seemingly impossible murder rocks the town, the lack of an obvious suspect prompts local police chief Geraldine Scott (Mila Kunis) to join forces with renowned detective Benoit Blanc to unravel a mystery that defies all logic."
The puzzling case in Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is set to be allotted a two-week theatrical run from November 26, 2025, ahead of the December 12, 2025, streaming release on Netflix.
