André, Mathias, and Gabriel might soon return to the screens, since the hit French television show, Call My Agent! (Dix pour cent) is about to receive a follow-up film, according to an exclusive report by Deadline.

The comedy drama series, created and co-written by Fanny Herrero, ran for four seasons, earning critical acclaim and many awards, including an International Emmy for the Best Comedy Series in 2021. For the uninitiated, it followed the lives of talent agents from a fictional agency dubbed ASK and offered a behind-the-scenes look at the entertainment industry.

Since its final season, released in 2020, fans have been hoping for a follow-up project. Their wishes will soon be met, as showrunner Herrero shares a positive update about the upcoming film. During a recent conversation with Deadline, she hinted at finishing writing the script, and that the film is on its way. Here's what she said,

“I can just say the writing is done. So now, yes, it’s on its way.”

In the same conversation, Herrero also revealed a few more details about the Call My Agent! movie and shared her excitement to work with the cast and crew for another project.

Fanny Herrero's comedy-drama series has been one of the most influential projects from French television. It has since been adapted in different countries, paving the way for British, Italian, and Indian versions, among others, of its premise. It is supposed to receive a German version, besides a Spanish-language adaptation, as per Deadline, from Hollywood star Eva Longoria.

Call My Agent! was a hit on French television. That's why fans were hoping for it to receive a movie treatment sooner rather than later. Herrero's latest comments reveal that they will soon get to witness it.

The French screenwriter was speaking with Deadline as she received the publication's French TV Disruptor Award for her valuable contribution to the industry and its enduring influence in the comedic landscape. While speaking about the Call My Agent! movie, Herrero addressed her interest in bringing back all the characters through her screenplay. She said,

“I’m so happy to write for them again. They are so inspiring, I love them all. And the fact that I left and it’s been almost five years now since the last season was released, [makes] it so good to be back again together.”

Camille Cottin, Grégory Montel, and Thibault de Montalembert were at the front and centre of its ensemble cast, which also included Laure Calamy, Liliane Rovère, Nicolas Maury, Fanny Sidney, and more. So, the upcoming movie will probably bring them all back together. Speaking about reunion with these actors, the showrunner said,

“I’m so proud of all of them. We built something together that changed our lives, so we have this in common forever.”

Besides the central cast, Call My Agent! also starred celebrities playing versions of themselves. It included Juliette Binoche, Isabelle Adjani, Isabelle Huppert, Monica Bellucci, and Charlotte Gainsbourg, among others. There's no official report on who will appear in the movie in a similar capacity. So, more details are expected soon.
