Angelina Jolie as Maxine Walker

Angelina Jolie is leading the project as Maxine Walker, a horror filmmaker who is struggling with breast cancer. She finds herself in Paris for an unusual project, which then transforms her life in more ways than one.

This is Jolie's first project of the year her after her stint in Pablo Larrain's Maria in 2024. The Academy Award winning actress is known for her diverse set of roles, having starred in Girl, Interrupted, Gia, George Wallace, Changeling, A Mighty Heart and The Tourist.

As she made an appearance during the Toronto International Film Festival, the actress opened up about her role and said,

"We all have these things we worry about or people we love. And it's either going to make us slow down and almost feel we can't move, take a step, or we're going to make the most of this life before it's over...And I think we too often see it as the end. And we stop living"

Anyier Anei plays Ada, the star of Walker's project. An 18 year old from South Sudan, she has left her pharmacology studies to come to Paris. The film explores her alterity among other models, as she struggles to fit in with them.
