100 Nights of Hero is produced by Helen Simmons, Stephanie Aspin and Grant S. Johnson under the banners of Erebus Pictures and Project Infinity. The film is based on a graphic novel, which itself was based on middle earth folk tale called One Thousand and One Nights.

In a Variety interview, Emma Corrin spoke about the relationship between Hero and Cherry.

“In their own ways, they both want more than what they have and what the world offers to them because of the way it operates. They both want to escape and want to be free, so I think that draws them together. Also, simply put, I think they just love each other. It’s not more complicated than that.”

The film premiered at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival in the section of Settimana Internazionale della Critica. It was also screened at the BFI London Film Festival.
