On November 18, a video surfaced on TikTok claiming that actress Amanda Bynes accused former Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider of getting her pregnant when she was 13. It was uploaded by TikToker @amandabynesupdates, who captioned the post:

“What Amanda Bynes went through was horrible!!”

The 1-minute and 14-second clip also had the internal text:

“The man I got pregnant with him at the age of 13!”

It showed adult Amanda Bynes sitting in a diner with a man.

After five seconds, the video jumped to an old behind-the-scenes clip of the former child actor sitting inside a jacuzzi with Dan Schneider. The text inside the clip read:

“Behind the scenes w/ Amanda Bynes and Dan Schneider. PLEASE WATCH THIS. I’m sorry for not making your childhood happy again!”

In it, young Amanda was heard welcoming the “executive producer of The Amanda Show” as her “special guest.” Schneider appeared to have a fun time with Bynes as he acknowledged her introduction and added that he was also the show’s head writer.

When asked whether he wrote the script of their ongoing interaction, Dan agreed that he did. Amanda jokingly asked him for a “raise,” which he declined. The clip ended with Schneider agreeing to share a plate of spaghetti with her.

The TikTok video amassed 15.6 million views as of writing.

However, the now-viral video claim is fake. Amanda Bynes did not accuse Dan Schneider of impregnating her as a teenager. Instead, the visual of her at the diner was recently posted on her Instagram Stories, without any mention of her former Nickelodeon producer.

Additionally, the behind-the-scenes clip from her childhood show also showed no signs of inappropriate behavior from Schneider’s end.

Amanda Bynes did not accuse Dan Schneider recently

In the wake of the digitally-edited TikTok video about Amanda Bynes and Dan Schneider, it is important to note that the All That alum does not have a TikTok account.

In fact, she has warned her fans many times on her official Instagram to not believe any claims about her that surface on TikTok or if anyone pretends to be her. Bynes has also repeatedly mentioned that she does not intend to join TikTok ever.

Also, the original TikTok user @amandabynesupdates has a bio reading:

“Only official fan page dedicated to VISUAL ARTIST Amanda Bynes! | WE ARE JUST AN UPDATE PAGE! Amanda does NOT have TikTok - this is a fan account!”

Self-proclaimed “observational journalist” @emilio2763 also reposted the TikTok video on X with the caption:

“Amanda Byrnes is Claiming Dan Schneider R*ped and Impregnated Her at 13…”

Although the post earned over 9 million views, it is also misleading and must be debunked.

Dan Schneider has faced misconduct allegations

Dan Schneider worked as a television producer, screenwriter, and occasional actor on a series of children’s shows on Nickelodeon from 1994 to 2019. For instance, he was a writer and executive producer on both of Amanda Bynes’ shows, All That and The Amanda Show.

However, in the wake of the #MeToo movement, Schneider faced several s*xual misconduct and abuse allegations from his young cast and crew, alongside accusations of creating a toxic work environment, harassment, verbal abuse, and gender discrimination.

This led to an internal investigation within the network, and Schneider went into a three-year-long hiatus. Nickelodeon eventually cut ties with him in 2018.

In 2024, the Investigation Discovery docuseries, Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, explored the allegations against Dan Schneider. Nickelodeon editor Karyn Finley Thompson questioned the nature of the relationship between Bynes and Schneider.

“I definitely saw Amanda being very close physically with Dan. There were many times that I saw Amanda sitting behind him, hugging him, or like giving him a neck massage or whatever. Dan and Amanda had a close relationship, and I didn’t think anything different than that,” Thompson shared.

However, one of Schneider’s alleged victims and a former child actor, Derek Bell, shared that he never saw anything inappropriate between Dan and Amanda. Bell and Bynes shared the screen on The Amanda Show.

“This was in the throes of a lot that I was dealing with personally, but no, I mean, I just saw a really talented, amazing actress, and no, I never saw anything.”

The producer-writer denied the allegations from the docuseries and instead sued ID for defamation. He also shared that he was concerned for Amanda’s “safety” when she was trying to emancipate herself from her parents, back in the day.

Neither Dan Schneider nor Amanda Bynes has responded to the recent viral fake claim.
