Whispers about the ongoing split of the Beckham family came to light a few days beforeChristmas, with reports emerging of David and Victoria Beckham unfollowing their elder son, Brooklyn Beckham, and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, on Instagram.

MThe rumor spread quickly, but Brooklyn's young brother Cruz Beckham was quick to put an end to it by saying that the story that was circulating online was not complete in any way.

Has Brooklyn Beckham Block David and Victoria?

In the complex web of David On December 20th, various sources reported that David and Victoria stopped following Brooklyn on Instagram. This was perceived as an indicator of the existing tensions in the family. However, on the following day, Cruz refuted the report.

Reacting to a report by Daily Mail on his Instagram stories, Cruz wrote, “NOT TRUE,” refuting the claim that his family members would unfollow him. According to Cruz, David and Victoria, together with himself, had been blocked by Brooklyn. His message ended with a clear statement,

“They woke up blocked … as did I.”

A glance at the accounts appears to verify the claim. They are not following Brooklyn but are following the rest of their sons, Romeo and Cruz.

Nicola Peltz Beckham is also not following her in-laws, just like Brooklyn. They all have synchronized accounts. The social media drama is just the latest manifestation of a problem that has been brewing in this relationship since Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltier tied the knot in 2022, according to reports at the time, which included tension over Victoria Beckham designing Nicola’s wedding dress but then backing out of the project.

There are reports that this led to some upset feelings and misconceptions between both sides of their families, according to People magazine. Since then, there have been occasional reports of attempts at a reconciliation.

Earlier this year, a source told People magazine that

“the Beckham family had been working to mend their relationship and had struggled to keep that momentum going.”

As reported, Brooklyn is said to feel conflicted, torn between his loyalties to his wife and his family ties.

As regards his relationship with David, the source reported that

“it has at times felt more professional than personal”

though reconciliation seemed possible and

“the family is hurt that Brooklyn hasn’t been as actively involved in family life as he once was.”

There are no comments from Brooklyn or Nicola regarding Cruz's comment. There are no comments from David and Victoria Beckham regarding this issue either. In the meantime, it appears Cruz’s message is intended at rectifying a mischaracterization of a situation, rather than increasing tensions further.

However, the fact that it happened in a public domain indicates an unresolved situation. As the festive season is now approaching, the Instagram spat simply serves as another reminder that the rift in one of the most famous families in the world remains firmly in place and does not look like repairing itself any time soon.
