The death of Paranormal investigator Dan Rivera has sparked a fear among the netizens after the headlines stated that he died during the Devils on the Run tour.
The 54-year-old, who was reportedly the handler of the “Annabelle” doll, died suddenly on July 13, 2025. However, the incident didn’t take place during the tour, but when he was staying at his hotel room in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, according to a report in Today. The doll was not present at the scene, as per the police officials.
Adams County Chief Deputy Coroner Scott Pennewill told the outlet that Dan Rivera’s “death was nothing suspicious.” He added that his body has gone for an autopsy and the results for the same will be available within 60 to 90 days.
Rivera was currently touring with the infamous doll in Pennsylvania. The tour’s current stop was in Gettysburg which was hosted by the group Ghostly Images of Gettysburg at the Soldiers National Orphanage, per People magazine.

According to People magazine, Dan Rivera worked as a paranormal investigator with the New England Society for Psychic Research. He has been working on paranormal research and investigations for 10 years. He was born and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He was a U.S. army veteran, per the society’s official website.
