Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban signed a prenup before they got married 19 years ago. However, their prenup is not something you would usually see. The A-list couple has a unique section in their prenup called the 'cocaine clause.' This clause states that Kidman has to pay her husband $600,000 every year, as long as they were married, if he managed to stay away from drugs and alcohol.

As mentioned, Keith and Nicole have been married for almost 20 years, and the fund that has been collecting from the 'cocaine clause' has racked up to $11.4 million so far.

At the moment, Nicole Kidman's net worth is estimated to stand at $250 million. On the other hand, her husband's net worth is estimated to be $75 million by Celebrity Net Worth.

What did Keith Urban say about his struggles with addiction?

During an interview with Oprah Winfrey back in 2010, Keith recalled how Nicole could have left him because of his drug and alcohol addiction. Urban and Kidman were married in 2006, and four months into their marriage, Urban had to go to a rehabilitation center for three months.

Keith also recalled this incident on the 49th AFI Life Achievement Award stage, where his wife was being honored. He said:

"We got married in June 2006, and barely four months into our marriage, the addictions that I had done really nothing about blew our marriage to smithereens... went into the Betty Ford Center for three months. Four months into a marriage, and I’m in rehab for three months with no idea what was going to happen to us."

However, Nicole Kidman stayed strong and stayed by his side no matter what, helping him beat his addictions.

During the interview with Oprah, Keith Urban said:

"That's the point right there where she really should've just walked... I'm just so glad she didn't, and she made a decision to turn around and initiate ultimately this intervention, and it was done in such a way that the love in that room at that moment was just right. I was like, 'Put the cuffs on, let's go.'"

Reason behind Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman's divorce

According to insider sources who shared with TMZ, the actual reason for the divorce has yet to be revealed, but the couple has been living separately since the start of summer.

At the same time, the divorce is not a mutual decision, and Nicole Kidman is trying to make the marriage work while caring for their two teenage daughters. However, Keith Urban has moved out of their home, staying in his own house.

The insiders said:

"Keith has acquired his own residence in Nashville and has moved out of their family home."

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman's prenup revealed a unique 'cocaine clause,' rewarding Urban for staying sober throughout their marriage. While it highlights the struggles they overcame together, their separation after 19 years shows the challenges persisted. Nicole is hoping to save the marriage, but Keith has moved out, making their future uncertain.
