Grey's Anatomy star Harry Shum was seen in a teaser for a new film, Do No Harm. He is playing Sam in it, a medical personnel, which he has quite some experience portraying. Alongside him, Jimmy Gonzales, Kate Sanchez, Rosaline Elbay, and more are in the film, too.

According to the film's synopsis, as per IMDb:

"When a simple mistake turns into a fatal error, a burned out nurse is trapped by the system, crushing expectations, and the lies we tell to survive."

Do No Harm doesn't have a release date yet, but its IMDb listing says it is expected to be completed by June 19, 2025.

Chris Hartwell has written and directed the film. Before this, he had also directed a couple of episodes of The Seventh Spectrum and three episodes of Best Laid Plans. Additionally, Hartwell has directed shorts like The Way That I Take, Mirror, and Trunk: A Love Story.

Do No Harm trailer breakdown

The trailer begins with Shum's character entering a room, and he looks in panic. He looks at Sadie, portrayed by Kate Sanchez, who appears to have been going through a sickness and probably requires some medical attention. She is then seen lying on a stretcher as she is being transferred to an ambulance.

While all of this is happening, we hear Sam saying he made a mistake once. There can be a couple of interpretations of this: Either he is trying to save the girl by giving his best, or it might be that the girl suffered, or maybe died, because of him. The first case seems more promising, as we see in the Do No Harm trailer that she is being admitted to the hospital. Maybe that's an opening scene, who knows?

Later in the Do No Harm trailer, Ronny Chieng's Hector, who is seemingly Sam's colleague, asks someone if everything's okay. Well, no, if you look at the trailer. We also see Rosaline Elbay's Leen in a car, but she appears to be a total mess. Maybe she just cried. Everything seems lost at her end.

Jimmy Gonzales, who is playing Charlie in Do No Harm, appears to be sitting tense on a sofa while somebody asks where he was last night. Or maybe that is a voice-over from a different scene because in the very next moment, we see a man asking what happened to Sadie.

The rest of the trailer builds more tension in an already tense situation. Sam is growing more frustrated, which is clear when he talks to someone over a call and says:

"I tried for her, I tried for you, and I tried for everyone."

Looks like he certainly gave his best, but seemingly to no avail.
