Does Ballerina have a post-credit scene? Details explored

Ballerina co-producer Erica Lee said in 2023 that there are already plans for the latest film in the John Wick universe, which brings us a new protagonist in the form of Eve Macarro, played by Ana de Armas. We might get one, but don't try to look at it after the credits roll in the theater. Because there is no post-credits scene.

However, the film does set up a sequel, as Eve Macarro ends up with a bounty on her head and now all that's left for her is to be on the run. Just like John Wick (Keanu Reeves), when he was labeled an excommunicado after killing Santino (Riccardo Scamarcio) on the Continental grounds.

This opens up another opportunity for Eve to reunite with Wick in future movies. Maybe she will pop up in John Wick 5, which is yet to get a release date. But Chad Stahelski is returning to direct it.

There's a lot of scope for Ana de Armas' Eve Macarro to move from here. There is an untitled Caine film, which will bring Donnie Yen's High Table assassin back in the game. It isn't likely to be his backstory but a follow-up to John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023), whose post-credits scene perfectly sets up the stage for Caine's story to continue.

John Wick 5 is, of course, her best chance to reappear in the franchise. Details on the plot are thin on the ground, and there is actually confusion as to how the creators are bringing Wick back. That better not be one of his backstories.

These are a couple of shots for Ballerina to appear again. If there is a sequel, then include that too. But there is one confirmed movie where Eve Macarro cannot appear. The animated John Wick film is also currently in development.

It will explore the infamous "impossible task" that the fans eagerly wait to see.

The first mention of this is heard in the first film, where Viggo Tarasov (Michael Nyqvist), after his reckless son Iosef Tarasov has killed Wick's dog, the last gift from his now-deceased wife. That dialogue mixed with that Tyler Bates and Joel J. Richard soundtrack, Story of Wick, can give anyone those goosebumps at any given moment.

Viggo kind of fleshes out Wick's story when he explains to his son about Wick. He says:

"John is a man of focus, commitment, sheer will... something you know very little about. I once saw him kill three men in a bar... with a pencil, with a fucking pencil. Then suddenly one day he asked to leave. It's over a woman, of course. So I made a deal with him. I gave him an impossible task. A job no one could have pulled off. The bodies he buried that day laid the foundation of what we are now. And then my son, a few days after his wife died, you steal his car and kill his f*cking dog."

While Michael Nyqvist is essential to this animated film, Ana de Armas' Ballerina cannot appear in this one, given that the character is likely still living a life with her parents while they are alive.
