A new crime documentary titled Evil Influencer: The Jodi Hildebrandt Story is coming soon to Netflix. If you don't recognize this name, you must've heard the story.

She's the influencer who, along with Ruby Franke, tortured Franke's children and ruined their lives.

You can get a sense of the cruelty involved when you hear about a man, Hildebrandt's neighbor, who was moved to tears upon seeing one of Franke's children, who had escaped and asked for food and water.

His words, as we can hear in the teaser trailer of Evil Influencer: The Jodi Hildebrandt Story, send shivers down the spine.

"He rang my doorbell and asked me to call the police."

When the police asked him if the kid was under the influence of any drugs or alcohol, he denied it but told them that the kid had duct tape around the ankles. And just as he continued to speak, he broke down.

Let us now read about the two culprits whose story people will witness in Evil Influencer: The Jodi Hildebrandt Story.

Evil Influencer: The Jodi Hildebrandt Story is about evil disguised as humans

We aren't exactly living in heaven, so it won't come as a surprise that people like Ruby Franke and Jodi Hildebrandt exist in the world.

Franke was once a vlogger who uploaded about her family life five times a week on YouTube. Although her parenting style became more extreme only after she met Jodi Hildebrandt, it was criticized beforehand.

In one video, Franke's oldest son claimed that his bed was taken away from him just because he played a prank. Another incident involves even more cruelty, as Franke didn't bother to bring her six-year-old daughter lunch to school: simply because the little girl forgot to pack it.

Instead of admitting that her actions were wrong, especially towards the young children, she defends herself with a statement saying that,

"What people aren’t understanding is that we give our children choice in everything. We are teaching our children to be self-governing."

Because of her tactics, a petition was filed online to bring Franke under the authorities' scrutiny. The petition received over 18,000 signatures.

Hildebrandt was equally malevolent, hiding her true nature behind a therapist's facade. Before she met with Franke and her family, she had ruined the life of one of her patients, Adam Steed, who stated that,

"Her doctrine is that she believes that relationships need to die before they can be reborn."

She was once a founder of a program called ConneXions, which aimed to improve relationships, and Franke and her husband joined. The couple separated afterward, which was quite the opposite of what the program claimed to do. After that, Franke moved with her children to Hildebrandt, 300 miles away from their previous home, and the cruelty began, as we'll learn in Evil Influencer: The Jodi Hildebrandt Story.

Evil Influencer: The Jodi Hildebrandt Story will stream on Netflix, beginning December 30, 2025.
