Prince Harry’s upcoming visit to the UK has caused much speculation about whether the estranged prince will finally have his homecoming moment. Prince Harry is set to return to the UK next week for some charity events, and the dates of his visits happen to coincide with the third anniversary of his grandmother’s death.
According to the prince’s itinerary as reported by People, Prince Harry will attend the WellChild Awards in London on Monday, September 8, 2025 (the 3rd anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's death). He will also visit an event hosted at the Community Recording Studio (CRS) in Nottingham, where he is expected to donate to the cause. The prince will also have a small private discussion with Children in Need and other important individuals.
According to the WellChild website, Prince Harry is “always privileged to attend the WellChild Awards and meet the incredible children, families and professionals who inspire us all with their strength and spirit.”
When was the last time Prince Harry visited the UK?
Prince Harry paid a brief visit to King Charles of England after he was diagnosed with cancer in February 2024. In May, the Prince spoke to the BBC in an interview, expressing his hope for reconciliation with his father.
“I would love reconciliation with my family. There's no point in continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious. I don't know how much longer my father has.”
He added that their issues all stemmed from his ‘security stuff’.
“He won't speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile.”
He further stated:
“There is a lot of control and ability in my father's hands. Ultimately, this whole thing could be resolved through him. Not necessarily by intervening, but by stepping aside, allowing the experts to do what is necessary.”
Weeks after he spoke about reconciliation, representatives for both Harry and King Charles held a meeting on Wednesday, July 9, at the Royal Overseas League. While reports claim that no formal agenda was discussed, both parties used the moment to air out several personal matters. According to a source, both representatives had a:
“Channel of communication for the first time in years. There were things both sides wanted to talk about.”
The source continued, describing the meeting as
“the first step towards reconciliation between Harry and his father, but at least it is a step in the right direction.”
As of yet, it remains uncertain whether the Duke of Sussex will reunite with King Charles.
