Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein has a set of incredible soundtracks that beautifully portray the dark, mysterious and dreadful world of the gothic sci-fi film.

After its limited theatrical release, the film made its way to its streaming release on Netflix on 7th November. The film has done incredibly well, leaving critics and the audience in awe. It has garnered a score of 86% on Rotten Tomatoes, and a rating of 7.6/10 on IMDb.

An adaptation of Mary Shelley's iconic novel ‘Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus’, the film explores the story of how a freakish experiment of a conceited scientist leads to a destructive creation. The film stars Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth and many others.

Dr. Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist, brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation.

The original soundtrack of the film has been scored by the acclaimed French composer Alexandre Desplat. His work in music has won him all the major prestigious awards, such as the Oscar, Golden Globe, BAFTA as well as the Grammy.

Some of his well-known work includes films such as The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Little Women and many more. This is the third time Guillermo del Toro and Alexandre Desplat have collaborated on a film, after working together on The Shape of Water and Pinocchio.

The soundtrack composed by Desplat for this film encapsulates the dark, fantastical world and the intense emotional landscape of the film. Distinct soundtracks have been meticulously created to signify the important events in the film.
