From royalty to romance: How speculations around Sheikha Mahra and French Montana’s relationship is making headlines

Moroccan-American rapper, French Montana, was recently spotted out in Paris with Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Princess of Dubai, and tongues are wagging about the extent of their relationship.

Word on the streets is that the public figures are dating, but neither of the couple has officially confirmed it yet. According to The Source, individuals close to the couple have confirmed the relationship.

The princess, who recently divorced her former husband, Sheikh Mana Al Maktoum, recently shared photos of the Eiffel Tower and a fancy restaurant in the city on her now-removed Instagram profile.

She also shared a photo of two hands holding a lock with a heart emoji in what appears to be the Love Lock Bridge - a place where couples attach padlocks to railings and throw the keys onto the Seine River to express their love.

Princess Mahra and French Montana were first spotted together months after a messy divorce with the former’s husband

Princess Mahra, daughter of the UAE prime minister and ruler of Dubai, bin Rashid Al Maktoum, married Sheikh Mana Al Maktoum in April 2023. In July 2024, months after the couple had welcomed their daughter, Mahra announced their divorce and accused her former husband publicly of infidelity:

"I divorce you" thrice as triple talaq. "Dear Husband, as you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce, Take care, Your ex-wife,"

As the shocking news made headlines all over the world, Mahra launched a perfume brand named Divorce. She later thanked her father for his support during the difficult period:

"Dear Father, thank you for your support. Thank you for your love. Thank you for marking an era that justifies that there is justice for everyone. My respect and love, Mahra."’

In October 2024, Mahra was spotted with the "Welcome to the Party" hitmaker at the Fashion Factor in Dubai. The Dubai Royal also took to Instagram to share photos with French Montana at the Nammos Dubai, a popular restaurant at the Four Seasons Resort in Jumeirah.

Mahra appeared to be giving the rapper a grand tour of Dubai and showcasing the Emirati lifestyle. French Montana was dressed in traditional Emirati Attire, including a Kandura and Gutra.

The 40-year-old rapper, born Karim Kharbouch, was previously married to Deen Kharbouch from 2007 to 2014 and shares a son with her.
