The festival is bringing artists such as Charley Cockett, The Beths, Spoon, and Geese, among others. The festival was originally two different events, which were later combined, namely the Upcountry Balloon Fair and the WRSI 5th anniversary party.The festival started gaining prominence in the early 1990s. In the 1990s, it featured performances Alison Krauss and The Union Station, Taj Mahal and more. In the early 2000s, the festival expanded further, officially changing its name at 2001.The festival was held at Greenfield Community College from its inception till 2019, when it fully switched over to the Franklin County Fairgrounds.In the 2020s, so far there have been notable performances by Gregory Alan Isakov, Sierra Fierrel as well as CAKE, Courtney Barrnet, and Tyler Childers, and so on. DSP Shows is currently running the festival, having acquired it in 2024.
