When the Russos said they’d only return to the MCU if the story was big enough, no one expected them to walk back in with literal Doom in their pockets. Avengers: Doomsday isn’t just a title; it’s a massive superhero event that could shape the MCU's future. This is the post-snap world blown wide open, and Joe and Anthony Russo are cracking the multiverse like an egg.
The Russo brothers are obviously bringing in something new to the MCU with Avengers: Doomsday, and even though plot details are tightly sealed as of now, Marvel's own Falcon, aka Danny Ramirez, is breaking the seal with a few details.
In an interview with ScreenRant, the actor opened up on what approach the Russo brothers are taking for Marvel's next venture. His statement reads,
"It's actually so interesting that I was thinking about, you get to see the same world and tone from Kari [Skogland]'s eyes, Julius', and the Russos'. Not necessarily [a different] tone, but the same world, and then you get to see the artistic interpretations of how someone creates that reality. You see their strengths, and you realize, "Oh, this is why Endgame was Endgame." Every single time, I'm fascinated by how two humans could read the same page and interpret it in completely different ways, and create that reality of what makes them feel tension."
He further adds,
"I'm a constant in regards to I'm still playing my own character, but using these different directors, I then get to lean in and sculpt and see what is different about my character in this world and why...It creates such a beyond multi-dimensional character. It's a character that people know in ways that they never expected. I think that's a beautiful gift that the MCU is able to have."
