During the Super Bowl LIX halftime show, Nantambu ran onto the field with a flag that read 'Free Gaza and Sudan.' He was later arrested. That was his claim to fame.

Antonio Brown, the former NFL star, is connected to Nantambu through a violent incident from last month.

In May 2025, outside a celebrity boxing event, Antonio and Nantambu got into a fight, during which Antonio fired shots at Nantambu. As per reports by Fox News, Antonio now has a charge for attempted murder against him and could go to prison for up to 15 years.

On February 9, during Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl LIX halftime show at the Caesars Superdome, the activist Nantambu disrupted the show by running across the field with the flag in protest, following which he was arrested by the Louisiana State Police (LSP). They charged him with disturbing the peace at the show and for resisting a police officer.

On May 16, 2025, Brown and Nantambu got into a fight outside a boxing event at Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood. As per reports, Brown allegedly grabbed a security guard’s gun and fired two shots at Nantambu.

Of the two shots he fired, one had grazed Nantambu’s neck. The two have had legal issues in the past as well. Nantambu told the New York Post that Brown may have believed he could legally shoot him without consequences under Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law, and said that Brown thought he’d "get a free kill."

On May 17, the day after the incident, Antonio took to X (formerly Twitter) and made claims that he was saving himself from robbers at the boxing event. He had said:

''I was jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm to me. Contrary to some video circulating, Police temporarily detained me until they received my side of the story and then released me.''

He continued:

''I WENT HOME THAT NIGHT AND WAS NOT ARRESTED. I will be talking to my legal council and attorneys on pressing charges on the individuals that jumped me. I will keep you all posted step-by-step on the process. Thank you for the support and love.''

In 2022, the two were involved in a dispute over a pendant in Dubai. Nantambu had sued Brown, claiming that he stole the pendant. He was then initially awarded nearly $1 million; however, the case was later dismissed.

Brown is yet to respond to the latest revelations, and the case is ongoing.
