The Marvel Cinematic Universe is growing and so is the new DC that James Gunn created. There are so many things that needed change, which he is willing to do, as we saw at the end of Peacemaker's latest season, where he made a minor change to the Justice League members.

Now that we are in a new era, we will see how things will go in the future. Gunn has made quite a plan where he has assured the audiences that we will see an Avengers: Endgame-like Portals scene where the entire MCU shows up in one final showdown against Thanos (played by Josh Brolin).

However, that doesn't mean that we won't see a bigger sequence. James Gunn should make sure that whatever he is planning for his version of the DCU must stand as tall as the MCU. There's time for it, so until something like that happens, you should see all the films from the DC Extended Universe, which brought us films like Man of Steel, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and more, to the new DCU, where we saw the new Superman taking his first flight again.

Here's how you can see all of them in chronological order.

Despite the fact that fans are excited about how things go with new versions of superheroes in Gunn's soft-rebooted universe, which includes Batman, Wonder Woman, and more, the superheroes played by actors like Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Jason Momoa, and more are a pure spectacle to watch.

So, if you haven't seen them in action on screen, here's the chronology of DCEU films you should watch for starters.

  • Man of Steel (2013)
  • Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
  • Suicide Squad (2016)
  • Wonder Woman (2017)
  • Justice League (2017)
  • Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
  • Aquaman (2018)
  • Shazam! (2019)
  • Birds of Prey (2020)
  • Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
  • The Suicide Squad (2021)
  • Black Adam (2022)
  • Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023)
  • The Flash (2023)
  • Blue Beetle (2023)
  • Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023)

With Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, we have already bid farewell to this universe and co-founders Gunn and Peter Safran made it clear that the true start of their universe will begin with last year's Superman, where David Corenswet played the titular superhero.

There's a lot of development to go in the next chapter of this superhero universe, but it has already begun with Superman. It has been categorized in chapters, of which the first chapter of the new franchise is labeled as Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, consisting of eight films, which you can see in chronological order below.

  • Superman (2025)
  • Supergirl (2026)
  • Clayface (2026)
  • Man of Tomorrow (2027)
  • The Authority (To be announced)
  • The Brave and the Bold (To be announced)
  • Swamp Thing (To be announced)
  • Untitled Wonder Woman film (To be announced)

Chapter Two of the franchise hasn't been announced yet, so we have to wait for the rest of the films. Other than this, you will also need to watch for TV series associated with it, like Creature Commandos, to understand the entire story.
