Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas perform “The Final Dance”

On their recent appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas performed their freestyle routine they prepared for their Dancing With the Stars finale. They never had the opportunity to perform after being eliminated from the show.

The special episode titled The Final Freestyle was aired on YouTube on November 26 at 8 PM ET.

Their energetic performance was praised by their fans which was based on a jazzy rendition of Frank Sinatra’s My Way. One of them called Whitney a “star” and Ballas a “creative genius.” Others praised their raw and real energy during the performance.

Leavitt and her partner were eliminated from the dance reality show in the semi-final. Although they reportedly received high scores from the judges, including a total of 58 points for their Cha-Cha and Viennese Waltz performances on Prince Night, but were eliminated due to fewer audience votes.

Sharing about their elimination on Alex Cooper’s podcast, Ballas said:

“I think that day, we kind of had a gut feeling to be honest.”

He recalled what he told Leavitt at that time, and said:

“Let’s just go out. Let’s let’s enjoy ourselves. Let’s have fun. Go for it. Like, let your hair down. Enjoy this.”

“Today just felt so weird... It felt so weird not going into the studio and meeting with Mark and learning a dance. It just felt weird, and it made me sad.”

Whitney Leavitt noted that one builds real connections and friendships with people during the show. Speaking on the key takeaways from the show, the reality tv star shared that one must surround themselves with the people who believe in you and want to see you achieve those dreams. In her concluding message, she expressed her love for her partner, Mark Ballas.
