Madelyn Cline as Danica Richards

The film's official trailers introduced Madelyn Cline as the central character of Danica Richards, who has to contend with the murder of her fiancé. She wonders if it is because she was one of the accomplices to a murder by accident. Over a year later, it threatens to affect her seemingly picture-perfect life.

Before starring in this movie, Cline was seen in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022) and the Netflix series Outer Banks. She will soon star in a lead role in The Map That Leads to You.

Chase Sui Wonders as Ava Brucks

Chase Sui Wonders plays Ava Brucks, one of Danica's close friends, who was also at the scene of the crime. Brucks is one of the five friends hunted by the killer.

Sui Wonders was recently seen in Apple TV's hit comedy series, The Studio, and in the 2022 film, Bodies Bodies Bodies.

Jennifer Love Hewitt as Julie James

Jennifer Love Hewitt reprises her role as Julie James, who was one of the only two survivors of the 1997 incident in Southport. She was introduced as a young woman in a relationship with Ray Bronson. The new sequel shows her helping a new group of friends to protect themselves from the menacing killer.

Jennifer Love Hewitt rose to fame after starring in the FOX drama series, Party of Five. Since then, she starred in shows like Ghost Whisperer and 9-1-1, besides films like Heartbreakers (2001) and The Client List (2010).

Freddie Prinze Jr. joins his co-star to reprise his role as Ray Bronson. By the end of the second film, Ray was shown to be married to Julie.
