Zachary Quinto, who plays the iconic character Spock in Star Trek, appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and expressed his willingness to work on another Trek show.
"I'am ready. I would love to do it. I think all of us would love another go on it," said Quinto.
Spock is the half-human and half-Vulcan science officer of the USS Enterprise. The original one brought enormous praise to the actor for honoring Nimoy's legacy and adding a fresh representation of it. Quinto's Spock came to life in 2009 with JJ Abrams' Star Trek reboot, showcasing the Romulan villain Nero altering the past. Read on to know more about what the actor said on The Tonight Show about the coming Trek movie.
Here is what the Star Trek actor Zachary Quinto revealed about the show's reboot
Quinto's character is one of the most iconic and complex ones in Star Trek, as he is shown to be struggling between his human emotions and Vulcan rationality. Being half Vulcan, he expects him to use pure logic, while his human self intervenes with its capacity for empathy and love. Therefore, his character arc has always been torn between these two extremes of a spectrum.
On The Tonight Show, the actor spoke about how he recently messaged J.J., the maker of the 2009 Trek film, asking about the possibility of any reboots.
"I was like, Dude, like what's going on? It's been 10 years since the last movie came out. I think we're ready. I would love to do it," says Quinto. "You know it's one of those things that we've had time away from it. And I think to come back and have that experience would be magical."
Quinto's Spock linked the classic original Trek with the newer audience with a new sense of the same character, making him the face of the movie that came out in 2009.
Can there be a Star Trek 4? Status of the anticipated movie explored

After the 2009 movie, more Trek films dropped, continuing the storyline. Into Darkness came out in 2013 with the Enterprise facing John Harrison. It was an adaptation of The Wrath of Khan. However, Spock is not getting sacrificed, but Kirk is. Spock remains outside the glass, watching him die in pain.
In 2016, Beyond came, which showcases the Enterprise getting ambushed and destroyed. Now, according to reports, the fourth part has been under development since its announcement in 2016. Several pitches were included, like Chris Hemsworth's time travel story returning as Kirk's father. Quentin Tarantino gave out an R-rated concept along with the Fargo creator Noah Hawley, while Paramount still lists Star Trek 4 "in development," without any information or status update, even after years of announcement.
With key actors like Zachary Quinto expressing interest in the new movie, the fate of the film is still not known.
