Roseanne Barr took a dig at ABC after Disney announced the return of Jimmy Kimmel's show after 6 days of suspension. In a recent interview with NewsNation, when asked about Kimmel's show cancellation and his return, Barr replied:

"Well, I guess he got a 6-day suspension, just like when Whoopi Goldberg came out with her disgusting comments on the Holocaust. She got a two-week suspension. It just shows how they think."

She continued:

"I got my whole life ruined, no forgiveness and all of my work stolen and called a racist for time and eternity, for racially misgendering someone. It just shows how they think. It's a double standard."

ABC canceled Roseanne in 2018 after she posted a racist tweet about Valerie Jarrett. Though Roseanne apologized, ABC still canceled its highest-watched show at the time. According to IMDb, the show had a rating of 7.1.

Roseanne Barr believes Jimmy Kimmel will double down after his return

While speaking with NewsNation, Barr was asked what Jimmy could do during his return broadcast. Replying to the same, Roseanne Barr said Kimmel will likely 'cheer' himself and his fans, feeling as if they’ve won a battle against President Donald Trump and the American people.

She continued:

"So it’ll be a big celebration. ‘Oh, he’s back,’ and he’ll double down. That's what they do. They'll see it as a victory."

During the interview, Barr was also asked if any popular networks approached her for shows. Barr, in her statement, said:

"I've been erased from history, from the history of feminism, which that cracks me up. I'm never mentioned in anything about women who are pioneers in media. I'm never mentioned in anything anymore."

Barr also recalled that when she was canceled, Jimmy Kimmel labeled her a racist. Additionally, she said he will likely never hear this perspective because he possibly lives in a bubble where 'alternative views or the truth' are kept from him.

She added that they don’t defend anything correctly and stated that Kimmel’s return doesn’t show that cancel culture is being handled the right way.

The news of Jimmy Kimmel’s return was announced by Disney on September 22, with his show set to air the next day. However, Sinclair has said it will not broadcast him.
