In Your Dreams, by Alex Woo, recently landed on Netflix and was the second most popular film on the streaming platform yesterday. Woo has worked on several acclaimed films, including WALL·E (2008), The Good Dinosaur (2015), Incredibles 2 (2018), and more. In addition to direction, he has also co-written this film with Erik Benson.
The animated film is about a brother and sister who are trying to save their parents' marriage. To do that, they travel to a magical world to find Sandman, whom they believe can save it. Critics are liking the movie and it's sitting fresh with an 87% score at the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes.
Craig Robinson, Simu Liu, and Cristin Milioti, among others, have lent their voices to the film, which we will discuss below.

Cristin Milioti as Mom
Cristin Milioti has again portrayed a mother. She is Stevie and Elliot's mom in In Your Dreams.
Although she recently gave her career-best performance in The Penguin, starring Colin Farrell in the lead, she is best known for portraying the mother in How I Met Your Mother, an American sitcom starring Neil Patrick Harris, Cobie Smulders, Josh Radnor, and more.
Simu Liu as Dad
And there's Simu Liu, who plays the cool dad in In Your Dreams.
We best know him from the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021), where he played the titular Shang-Chi. He is also set to appear in the next big thing in the MCU, Avengers: Doomsday. Liu has expressed interest in reprising his role in Secret Wars. Before this, he also appeared in films like One True Loves (2023), Arthur the King (2024), and Last Breath (2025).
