Meghan Markle and Prince Harry celebrated the fourth birthday of their daughter Lilibet Diana on June 4, 2025. The Duchess of Sussex initially posted a couple of black-and-white pictures, wishing their "beautiful girl" a "special day." The pictures were followed by another post of Prince Harry holding Lilibet as a baby. Meghan's caption described Lilibet as "Daddy's little girl and favorite adventurer."

Shortly after the two posts, Meghan Markle posted an unseen video of her and Prince Harry dancing to a song that went viral on TikTok, Baby Mama. She captioned the video as,

"Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work - there was only one thing left to do!"

Netizens took to the comment section of the New York Post's post about the video. One user (@ViQueenie) wrote,

"This was the lowest of the lowest. From Royalty to content creators."

Another user (@abrinotme77) wrote,

"everything these two try to do is just God awful trash."

One netizen (@carolKS625) took a critical dig at the video and noted,

"Quite the tribute they’ve given their daughter on her 4th birthday! Cringe is right."

Many continued to claim that the "pregnancy" was not real, with some claiming that pregnant women can't dance like that. One user (@patnaturalaging) added,

"There’s absolutely ZERO chance a woman in labor has the energy or desire to twerk like this. She was not pregnant. I gave birth twice."

While a few netizens showed support, the majority of comments expressed disappointment at the clip and described it as something that doesn't align with "royalty."

Internet reacts to Meghan Markle's pre-delivery dance video with Prince Harry

Meghan Markle shared three posts on Instagram to celebrate their daughter's birthday. While many wished their daughter well, some were critical about the type of content being released. The comment section was reportedly full of trolls who alleged that Meghan faked "pregnancy" or wore a "moon bump."

In her first episode of Confessions of a Female Founder, Meghan Markle described that she had experienced a "medical scare": pre-eclampsia in one of her deliveries. She told Whitney Wolf Herd, founder of Bumble, about her experience and noted,

"You're still trying to juggle all these things and the world doesn't know what is happening, quietly, and in the quiet you are still trying to show up for people."

While Meghan Markle didn't reveal in which of the two pregnancies she experienced pre-eclampsia, netizens alleged that it wouldn't be possible for someone with the condition to dance like that.

While Meghan Markle's comment section is turned off, it didn't stop the internet from leaving their opinions on the video. Many expressed disappointment and were critical of the type of content someone associated with "royalty" is releasing on social media.

In other news, Markle's brand, As Ever, drew mixed reactions, leaving many confused after she announced a temporary pause in sales. In a post shared on Instagram on June 4, the brand announced that they will be returning soon, with new "things" coming this month.
