Busta Rhymes went viral when he was recently involved in a viral confrontation with a TikTok prankster during Art Basel festivities in Miami.

According to an exclusive video obtained by TMZ, the Grammy nominee got upset when a content creator deliberately misidentified him, calling him 'Tracy Morgan.' The TikToker approached him for a photo, then went on with the joke but it didn’t go well with Rhymes, who warned him and said:

“You don’t play with a grown man, little boy—that’s how people get f***ed up!”

Funny Salesman, a fellow social media creator, accompanied the TikToker. Besides being a legendary rapper, Busta Rhymes has had several high-profile relationships.

Although Rhymes has never been married, he is a father to six children from multiple partnerships. He tends to keep his romantic past private and has emphasized on being a dedicated father to his kids.

Here are more details.

Exploring the past relationships of Busta Rhymes

In the past, Busta Rhymes, whose real name is Trevor Tahiem Smith, Jr., has been linked to several women, including his high school sweetheart Joanne Wood, socialite Nicole Richie, model and reality TV personality Chandra Davis, Lindsay Lohan, and Mariah Carey.

Rhymes’ longest relationship was with Wood when they were in Uniondale High School in Long Island, New York. They dated for approximately a decade and welcomed three sons together - T'Ziah Wood-Smith (born in 1993), T'Khi Wood-Smith (born in 1999) and Trillian Wood-Smith (born in 2000.)

Despite sharing three children, the couple never married due to personal reasons, which involved career demands, legal battles over child custody and Wood coming out as a lesbian. During an interview with Men’s Health, Busta Rhymes said:

“The bittersweet part was that hip-hop demanded time away from my baby. In order to be a good provider, I had to miss magical moments with my baby. I didn’t have a nine-to-five skill set. Being able to wake my son up, give him breakfast, dress him, take him to school, go to work, come home at five, help with his homework, read him a bedtime story—I didn’t have a skill set that allowed me to deliver in that way.”

Busta Rhymes and Jill Miskelly welcomed their daughter Mariah Miskelly in 1998 during their brief relationship period. He was confirmed as her father when Miskelly filed a paternity suit, prompting a test. During that time Mariah was only a year old.

Rhymes was linked to Deelishis (Nicole Deannae Alexander), the winner of reality dating show, Flavor of Love. She reportedly appeared in the remix of Touch It. They dated for a brief period from November 2006 to April 2007.

He was also rumored to be dating Janet Jackson in the early 2000s when they connected during the filming of What’s It Gonna Be?! Music video. During that time, Busta Rhymes was single after his relationship with Wood ended, and Jackson was reportedly coming out of her marriage to René Elizondo Jr.

Rhymes also sparked dating rumours with Lindsay Lohan and Mariah Carey, but they were never confirmed.

Busta Rhymes has a daughter named Cacie Smith and a son, Sacario Smith. However, their mothers are not publicly known.
