Outer Banks co-creator and director Jonas Pate has been accused of physically confronting a female production assistant on set in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
According to a report in People magazine, Pate allegedly grabbed the assistant by the shoulders, shook her, and screamed at her before actors Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline stepped in to separate them.

Sources described the situation as tense and noted that such outbursts were reportedly “not unusual behavior” for Pate. Other crew members claimed that it was “about time that it's made public.”
With this incident, Jonas Pate’s personal life has come to the media’s attention. Pate is married to Jennifer Fishman Pate. They share two children – Lilah Pate and Jonas Pate. Born on September 29, 2003, in Los Angeles, California, Lilah is an actress. She is best known for her role as Peeler in Outer Banks and has also appeared as Gigi in The Summer I Turned Pretty and Deception.

Jonas Pate was born on January 15, 1970, in Raeford, North Carolina, USA. He attended Princeton University and later graduated in 1992.
He started his career in 1990 by writing and directing the thriller film The Grave alongside his twin brother Josh Pate. Following that, he co-created the supernatural fantasy action show, Good vs Evil, in 1999.
Jonas Pate continued to work as a writer and director in the 1990s and 2000s on projects such as Deceiver (1997), Surface (2005-2006), Battlestar Galactica (2004) and Friday Night Lights (2006).

He got married to his wife, Jennifer Pate, in 2001. They later welcomed their kids – Cooper and Lilah. His wife, Jennifer, is a producer who has collaborated with him on several projects. She is known for Wrong Turn (2003), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997), and Edtv (1999).
Jonas Pate’s daughter, who is an actress, recently spoke to People magazine about starring as Sophia Kinney in the Prime Video series, The Runarounds. Describing herself as her father’s “mini me,” she said:
“Growing up on a film set, I was always drawn to it. I never wanted to leave. I was very much [my dad’s] mini me, his sidekick, always begging to be on set, always begging to be in the room when people auditioned.”
She added:
“I was in the room for a lot of the original cast members for Outer Banks when they auditioned. I was always drawn to it, but [my dad] really only wanted me to pursue it if it was something that I truly loved. He was like, ‘Great, you wanna act then act, take improv, do local theater, study it in school.’”
Jonas Pate earlier shared in an interview with Media Hub that working with his family on Outer Banks has been a blast.
“My daughter’s on the show, my wife is a producer on the show. But we have lots of departments that have family members inside of it. It’s just more fun.”
Pate’s recent actions on set have, where he allegedly misbehaved with a production assistant during the filming of the fifth and final season of Outer Banks has negatively affected his public image. The production insiders mentioned that such behavior was not unusual for Pate, which further damaged his reputation.
